Truco (Transvaal Rubber Company) is returning to Electra Mining Africa this year to showcase a number of new products and to display its entire range of industrial rubber products - reaffirming its status as Africa's leading rubber products supplier to mining and industrial markets for the past 100 years.
Electra Mining Africa attracts over 38 000 visitors and is southern Africa's largest mining, industry, machine tools and electric trade show. "The 5-day exhibition is a great way for us to reconnect with our customers and also showcase our latest industrial rubber products," says John Tait, MD, Truco.
What's on the stand this year?
Truco will have samples of its entire range of conveyor belts, industrial hose, rubber sheeting and rubber flooring. The samples are free to take home and are a great way for our customers to touch, feel and experience the durability of its industrial rubber products.
Truco will also have pictures and diagrams of its newly developed pontoons on display. The new pontoons are a lightweight alternative to the conventional steel pontoons, offering the advantages of being rust-free, low maintenance and less expensive than conventional steel pontoons, with extended life expectancy. The new pontoon is designed to accommodate power and communication cables, a drinking-water line and light-emitting diode lights for use of the walkway along the pontoon at night.
Truco will also be launching its new Furnace Coolant Hose at the exhibition. This hose is ideal for smelters where transfer of cooling water and high temperature and flame resistance is required. "Our new hose is designed with a specialised isotherm top cover which prevents heat or flame damage," adds Tait.
Truco will also be launching its new range of hose couplings, including Camlock, Storz and Claw Couplings.
